Farms – Family, Economy, Change
Documentary 2025
The sustainability-oriented transformation of the agricultural and food industry is one of the greatest societal challenges of our time. For those outside the field, the complexity of widespread food production is scarcely graspable or comprehensible. The same holds true for the actors involved, as they perceive this complexity from vastly different perspectives depending on their professional fields, disciplines, and positions within the chain of economic value. The goal of the film project is to give insights into the work of various actors within the fields of economics, agriculture, politics, nature conservation, administration, and science, aiming to highlight the urgency and magnitude of the transformation processes in Lower Saxony (Germany).
